Yep, they are popular alright. Probably because of the fact that its such an iconic car! I think that most people would like to sample the stereotypical American dream by driving down a highway with the top down in a beautiful Ford Mustang Convertible.

So back to the question: Is it possible to guarantee a Ford Mustang?

There are two answers to this question. Yes and No. I know, I know, you want the exact answers right? Well, let me explain a little more

YES - we can contact our suppliers to guarantee a Mustang. The usrentacar.co.uk Ford Mustang Option was launched a new service that is available in selected locations where we will try and guarantee you a Ford Mustang. When you search our website look for the Ford Mustang Option logo - Its clearly marked so you wont miss it (assuming its available at your location, otherwise it wont appear in the results). All you need to do is select that option; usrentacar.co.uk will then take a maximum of 72 working hours to secure you that particular vehicle for you. Please note that at the time of your booking request we will not charge your credit card. We will take a pre-authorisation and only collect the funds once your vehicle has been confirmed.

Why don't car rental supplier just guarantee a Mustang anyway?

While many suppliers quote 'Ford Mustang' or similar within their Convertible range of vehicles they do not offer the option to Guarantee the Ford Mustang through the regular rental process. While this is quite frustrating for customers that really want a Mustang its our suppliers way of covering themselves in the event that a Mustang is not available on the day of your collection. The suppliers tend to buy in two or three different makes and model in their convertible range (Ford being one of them) so although they will Guarantee you a convertible it may not necessarily be a Ford Mustang.

Other possible makes and models within the convertible range of vehicle are: Chrysler Sebring, Chrysler 200 and Mitsubishi Spider etc

When you reserve a convertible vehicle you are reserving a 'category' of car, not an exact make or model. Your category will be 'convertible'

Tips for getting a Mustang when 'Ford Mustang Option' is not available.

You can email us or call us and ask us to place a note on your rental voucher stating your preference of vehicle. Its not a guarantee but it may help.

Some suppliers have 'Choice Locations' which mean that you may select your own vehicle from the category you have reserved. So if they have a Ford Mustang available you can simply choose which one you want. Please see the following links for more information on 'Choice Locations'

Ford Mustang Option Terms

Ford Mustang Option is only available for request in selected locations as listed above.

If Ford Mustang Option logo appears in results it does not necessarily mean the vehicle will be confirmed. All requests will need to be confirmed by the supplier.

At the time of your request we will take a pre-authorisation from your payment details. You will only be charged if the supplier confirms your vehicle and we issue a rental voucher.

In the event that the vehicle is not available you will not be charged.

Minimum drivers age is 25.

Offer not available for USA or Canadian license holders.

Offer is subject to confirmation by our suppliers.

Vehicle make: Ford, Vehicle model: Mustang will be guaranteed. Vehicle model specifics: such as GT or Hard top, interior, vehicle features etc cannot be guaranteed.

Ford Mustang, once confirmed, will be a convertible vehicle.

Driver must have held a full, clean valid drivers licence for a minimum of 1 year.

Drivers that have been banned from driving within the last 5 years will not be allowed to hire.
