What’s included?
All U.S. Rent A Car rental rates include:
- Unlimited Mileage.
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which is a combination insurance of both Collision Damage
Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver. As long as you adhere to the rental policy of the
supplier you will not be held responsible for the cost of replacement or repair
to your hire vehicle.
- Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) up to $1m Liability Cover. Offers an Uninsured/Underinsured/Hit-and-Run
Motorist Protection (UMP) that provides the renter and family members traveling
together in the rented vehicle with up to $1,000,000 of non-stacked coverage for
bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver
who has no insurance, minimal insurance, or is a hit-and-run driver.
- Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1m Liability Cover. All drivers included
on the rental agreement will not be held liable for third party claims for bodily
injury or property damage resulting from an accident.
In addition to the items above U.S. Rent A Car has negotiated the following features
with individual suppliers all of which are included within the Fully Inclusive rate.
- If the Gold Rate is purchased this will include your first tank of petrol and extend
the insurance to accommodate additional drivers. (Except for Manhattan where the initial tank of fuel is not included)
- Alamo Gold covers up to three additional drivers over 25. (Alamo Gold rate only
available for bookings of 4 days or more)
- National Gold covers up to three additional drivers over 25. (Alamo Gold rate only
available for bookings of 4 days or more)
- Dollar Gold covers 4 additional drivers over 25.
- Thrifty Gold covers 4 additional drivers over 25 (Thrifty Gold only includes fuel
when rental is for 4 days or more)
- Sixt Gold covers 1 additional drivers over 25.
Young Drivers Packages;
In order to qualify for the Young Drivers Package the named 'main/lead' driver on
the vehicle must be aged between 21-24. The named 'Young driver' will need to have
held a drivers license for at least 1 year and be the holder of a major Credit Card
in their own name - Please note: ViasDebit and prepaid cards are not accepted by
our suppliers for security on the vehicle for Young Drivers Packages.
If our Young Drivers Package is selected (where available) in addition
to the Silver and Gold rate features (amount of drivers differs) you will also be
covered for the following.
Alamo Rent A Car includes no under 25 surcharge for 3 young drivers (21-24).
National Car Rental includes no under 25 surcharge for 3 young drivers (21-24)
National Car Rental includes no under 25 surcharge for all young drivers (21-24)
If our Young Drivers Package Plus is selected (where available)
in addition to the Young Drivers Package features you will also be covered for the
following.
Reimbursement for any physical loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle for which You
are responsible under the terms of the Vehicle Rental Agreement, including: (Total
section limit: GBP 2,000.00)
Physical damage to windscreens, tyres, and undercarriage.
Towing costs relating to the loss or damage.
If unintentionally locked out of the Rental Vehicle Our supplier will pay up to
GBP 100.00 to open the Rental Vehicle.
Pay to replace a lost or stolen Rental Vehicle key, including replacement locks
and locksmith. charges up to a maximum of GBP 300.00 for each and every claim.
Please note that the additional insurance covered in our Young Drivers Package Plus
is exclusive to usrentacar.co.uk and is not provided directly with the supplier

Fuel Policy
Fuel: Fuel policies vary from supplier to supplier. Thrifty Rent A Car will charge you for a tank of fuel upon collection of your vehicle if the 'Silver' option is taken. Please note that these fuel charges will be subject to concessions and charged at a higher rate that if purchased from the pumps directly. However, if you return the vehicle full of fuel and produce a receipt as proof of re-fuelling within 10 miles of your return location your initial fuel charge will be refunded. Dollar/National/Alamo Car rental allow you to collect the vehicle with fuel and return the vehicle with a like amount to avoid a refuelling charge. In any case please check conditions before you travel if unsure otherwise please check with the supplier when you pick up your vehicle. [back

Managers Special/Wild Card fuel options. Please note that the vehicle fuel type for Manager Special vehicle option with Dollar Rent A Car and Wild Card vehicle option with Thrifty will be advised upon collection of the vehicle. The supplier reserves the right to supply either Petrol or Electric powered vehicles – a preference of fuel type cannot be pre-reserved or guaranteed in advance.

Personal accident insurance (PAI): this
is probably covered in your holiday insurance. It is an option, which you will be
offered on collection of the car. you are under NO obligation to accept this. Please

Additional non-mandatory insurances. RoadSafe / Roadside Assistance.
Your rental will include a basic road side assistance service. You DO NOT have to
upgrade to a premium service unless you so desire. Please check your rental agreement

Please note: Garaging, tolls, congestion charges, parking and traffic fines are
the responsibility of the lead driver of the vehicle. Any local charges of this
nature may be charged to your account by the supplier and will usually incur and
administration fee. [back

Insurance exclusions: The suppliers insurance will not cover you
for damage to the windscreen, tires or undercarriage of the vehicle. Additional
cover can be purchased at the time of your reservation by selecting our 'Platinum
Rate' ENSURE that you check your rental agreement before you sign it [back to top of page]
CHECK YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT - Please ensure
that you are only signing for items you have selected to purchase. If you do not
understand the agreement please ask a manager to explain further. Please ensure
that you only sign the agreement when you are happy with its contents. Once you
sign the agreement your contract will them be with the respective car rental supplier.
WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CLAIM A REFUND FOR ITEMS/INSURANCES/UPGRADES OR ANY 'OPTIONAL
EXTRAS' SIGNED FOR BY ACCIDENT. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU TAKE A MOMENT TO FULLY UNDERSTAND
THE AGREEMENT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT.

Driver’s age
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd deals with many suppliers in America, the general rule states
that the minimum driver age is 21 years of age. Drivers between the ages of 21 to
24 will be levied with a young driver’s surcharge of $25-$30 per day, per
driver plus tax this applies for any bookings made with Alamo, Dollar or Budget.
There is no upper age limit. Please note this charge can be waived if the YDP young
driver’s policy is purchased (see YDP for more details) Our suppliers do not
have an upper-age limited but can refuse to hire a vehicle if the customer is not
fit to drive. [back

Additional drivers
Charges often apply for additional drivers and are payable locally on pick-up (unless included within your rental package). U.S. Rent A Car Ltd do not control local charges so please be aware that they are subject to change without notice being given to U.S. Rent A Car. Please check with our reservations department at the time of booking. PLEASE NOTE: All clients that require the Gold option for the purpose of additional drivers, must pick up the vehicle with all the additional drivers present otherwise the additional drivers will NOT be able to be added to the rental agreement at a later stage. Additional drivers will be required to show their full drivers license.

California free additional driver: Please note that the Free additional driver in California under the Silver Rental package will only apply if the additional driver is the the lead renters spouse, child or person whom is a legal guardian, sibling, parent or grandparent - therefore, these authorised operators will not be charged an additional authorised operator fee.

Payment for local upgrades
U.S. Rent A Car does not collect payment for a local upgrades. Should you decide
to upgrade your vehicle upon collection you will be required to make payment for
the upgrade directly to the supplier at the exchange rate at the time of the agreement.
Upgrade charges do not supersede your agreement with U.S. Rent A Car. Your upgrade
charge will be an additional payment on top of the fee's you have already paid to
U.S. Rent A Car. Upgrade charges are not calculated at the same rates sold by U.S.
Rent A Car. No refunds will be given by U.S. Rent A Car in the event that you upgrade.
Once a rental agreement is signed your contract then becomes with the local rental

Insurance Excess
There is no insurance excess. Customers are expected to leave a credit card imprint
as security for the vehicle. [back

Child seats: These are mandatory in most countries and can be requested
at the time of booking. Although instructions will be provided you will be required
to fit the child seat yourself. For older children, it is recommended that you take
your own booster seats. Please note that the prices on our website are an approximation
ONLY - Rates are paid on arrival directly to the supplier and are subject to change

Snow Chains, Roof Racks and Ski Racks: No longer available.
One-way rental charges where applicable.
One-way rentals
One-way rental charges are advised during your online booking process. Any fees shown are supplied directly by our car rental partner and are subject to change at anytime before you book. One way fees are subject to local taxes. One way rental fees are a separate charge levied by the supplier directly. Once you sign your rental agreement upon collection of your vehicle you will then become responsible for any applicable charge.[back to

Tax
All taxes are included except those on any extras purchased locally. E.g. One-way
drop-off fees, child seats and additional drivers.
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd reserves the right to levy any government increases in local
taxes that may be introduced after the printing of these terms and conditions.
Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local taxes at the prevailing

What do I need to collect my car rental?
Driving licence
Drivers must produce a full valid driving licence from their Country of residence.
License must have been valid and held for at least one year.
International Drivers Permit - An IDP may be required if your drivers license is
not written in English. For more information on IDP please seach our Blog: blog.usrentacar.co.uk - If unsure please contact us before
booking.
It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate
driving licence. Our reservations agent must be informed of any endorsements that
lead to a ban on the driver’s licence, as we may not be able to take your
booking. No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-production of
a driving licence or non-disclosed endorsements. Faxed or photocopied licence's
are not acceptable. This includes copies provided by the DVLA. Please Note that
in some locations a passport may be required as well as your license in order to
collect your vehicle. Please check with reservations if unsure.
Please note that we cannot rent vehicles to U.S.A or Canadian driving license

Rental documents & Contracts
Your rental voucher must be presented when collecting your rental car. U.S. Rent
A Car Ltd cannot be held responsible for rentals rejected if a voucher is not presented.
You should retain your rental documents and related receipts given to your chosen
car rental supplier for a minimum of 28 days after returning home. Once you collect
your vehicle and sign the suppliers rental agreement your contract then becomes
with the respective car rental company. [back

Local Deposits
Deposits vary by destination. With our suppliers Alamo, Budget, Dollar, National
& Thrifty the deposit is generally around $200.00 per rental week. SIXT CAR RENTAL
DEPOSIT: The rental deposit is based on the vehicle and rental duration. Typical
deposits range from $300 - $1000, however for larger vehicles a deposit up to $2500
may be required.
Security deposit are usually taken via a pre-authorisation on a credit card. [back to top of page]
A valid credit card in the name of the lead driver must be produced
upon collection of the car, as a form of deposit.. U.S. Rent A Car Ltd cannot be
held responsible for rentals rejected if a credit card in the name of the lead
driver is not presented. The credit card must hold enough funds for
the suppliers security deposit.
Debit Card Deposits are accepted by Dollar Rent A Car under the following terms;
- All rentals are subject to meeting licence requirements and client must have two
forms of ID to qualify
- A hold will be placed on the card for a minimum of $250.00 Florida or $350 all other
locations
- Debit cards will not be accepted at time of rental in New York, Hartford CT, Philadelphia
PA, Boston MA and Detroit MI.
- Debit cards will not be accepted at time of rental for renters under 25 years in
off airport locations
Vehicle information
Car type/suitability
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd is unable to guarantee a particular make, model, luggage space
or fuel type/consumption or mileage of any car. The car shown on your voucher and
on our websites are for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative,
similar vehicle according to SIPP code. Please be aware that you are reserving a
category of vehicle and not a specification or model of vehicle. Vehicle value is
not taken into account when grouping vehicles into categories. Vehicles are grouped
using SIPP codes. Your rental voucher will display your SIPP code associated with
your vehicle choice.
The 4 letters describe different things - either the type of vehicle, the number
of doors, the transmission or whether it has air conditioning.

If it becomes impossible to provide your booked car due to breakdown, accident,
lack of fleet or any other local supplier issue a similar or upgraded car will be
provided. If you are dissatisfied in any way with the standard of your booked car,
you must advise our local car rental partner immediately and U.S. Rent A Car Ltd
in writing within 28 days of your return. Failure to do so may result in any claims
not being accepted or settled by our car rental partners. [back

Vehicle Availability
Specialist categories of vehicles such as 8,12,15 seater minivans , large SUV's
and convertibles may be on a 72 hour request basis. Please not that vehicles booked
within 72 hours of collection may also be on request, this will apply to all categories.
In the event that we are unable to confirm your vehicle in time for your collection
you will not be charged for your request. Your voucher will need to contain our
suppliers confirmation number in order to collect a vehicle. Should your request
not be available, we will contact you using the details you have provided. Once
a deposit has accepted for your rental and your hire has been confirmed and processed
this will secure your rental price, should our suppliers fleet change or your requested
vehicle is unavailable or our rates change we reserve the right to cancel or amend
your order. We cannot check availability without making a confirmed reservation.
Should you wish to amend your vehicle to a 'request vehicle' please ensure that
you intend to book the vehicle as you will be charged accordingly once the vehicle
is confirmed. If a vehicle you have requested to upgrade to is not available our
terms will apply to the previously confirmed vehicle rental.. [back

Choosing your rental vehicle.
U.S. Rent A Car will do all we can to assist you in choosing the correct vehicle
for your needs. We have provided vehicle examples on our website to help you. Please
note that these vehicle types are not guaranteed. This also means that we are unable
to guarantee engine size, luggage capacity, fuel type and consumption or any other
feature of the vehicles. Our suppliers reserve the right to provide you with a vehicle
within the selected category of vehicle you have reserved. For more information
or if you are not sure please contact our reservations department before you book.
U.S. Rent A Car cannot accept any responsibility for variations in vehicle specifications
supplied by our car rental partners. All information supplied is for guidance only.

U.S. Rent A Car Ford Mustang Option [Formerly
called Ford Mustang Guaranteed]
U.S. Rent A Car offer a Ford Mustang Option which is on a request basis with our
suppliers and subject to terms and conditions. Please note that this offer is subject
to availability and eligibility.
- Ford Mustang Option is only available for request in selected locations. Please
see details here
- If Ford Mustang Option logo appears in results it does not necessarily mean the
vehicle will be confirmed. All requests will need to be confirmed by the supplier.
- At the time of your request we will take a pre-authorisation from your payment details.
You will only be charged if the supplier confirms your vehicle and we issue a rental
voucher.
- In the event that the vehicle is not available you will not be charged.
- Minimum drivers age is 25.
- Offer not available for USA or Canadian license holders.
- Offer is subject to confirmation by our suppliers.
- Vehicle make: Ford, Vehicle model: Mustang will be guaranteed. Vehicle model specifics:
such as GT or Hard top, interior, vehicle features etc cannot be guaranteed.
- Ford Mustang, once confirmed, will be a convertible vehicle.
- Driver must have held a full, clean valid drivers licence for a minimum of 1 year.
- Drivers that have been banned from driving within the last 5 years will not be allowed
to hire.
- Rental is subject to our normal terms and conditions

Period of rental
In most locations a maximum rental period of 28 days applies. This will vary depending on the supplier you have chosen to book with. Our rental partners may accept longer duration rentals to be booked online, however, please be aware that this may mean you will need to exchange your rental car during your period of hire depending on the length of rental you have reserved. Your supplier will advise you upon collection of your vehicle. When in doubt please call our reservations team before booking. Rental days are based on 24-hour units, commencing at the time of pick-up. If you wish to extend the rental period after collection of the car, or if you return the car late, you will be charged locally at the local daily rate, which may be higher than our rates. No refunds are payable on cars returned early or that are not collected. It is the customers responsibility to notify the local supplier if they believe they are going to be late, failure to do so can result in the vehicle being resold locally, in this case no refunds will issued. Provision of cars
Our local car rental partner can refuse to provide a car to any customer who is,
in their opinion, unfit to drive, has an outstanding balance with the rerntal supplier,
has previously been banned from renting by the supplier or does not meet eligibility
requirements. In such circumstances your contract with us will terminate immediately,
and we will have no further liability to you, and no refund will be due. Please
Note: Should the vehicle you have reserved not be available upon collection the
supplier reserves the right to offer you an alternative vehicle. If this is not
satisfactory you should contact U.S. Rent A Car immediately so that we may try to
arrange with the supplier an acceptable alternative.
Important vehicle collection notice - Please note: If you are delayed or your flight is cancelled you must contact U.S. Rent A Car before the collection date and time as we cannot change, amend or cancel a reservation once the rental collection date has passed. However, the supplier will hold your rental vehicle for up to 24 hours after your scheduled collection date and time as a courtesy. Failure to collect your vehicle within this time period will result in the supplier classing you as a 'No Show' In case of a 'No Show' the supplier reserves the right to re-sell your hire. This will mean that your rental vehicle is no longer available and no refund will be given. In the event of a late collection or early return no refunds or part refunds will be due because of the pre-paid nature of our contracts with our suppliers.

Number of passengers
Our rental cars are insured for a maximum number of passengers. U.S. Rent A Car
Ltd cannot accept responsibility if the vehicle is not large enough to fit all passengers
and luggage on arrival if details were not supplied at the time of booking. In the
interest of safety this number must not be exceeded and if exceeded the insurance
will be invalidated. [back

Mechanical difficulties/accidents
In the event of any mechanical difficulties there is an emergency number for you
to call on your copy of the rental agreement you signed upon collection of your
vehicle. Please inform the supplier should you encounter any problems. The supplier
will then inform you of the correct procedure. You may be responsible for recovery
costs or repairs depending on the nature and circumstances of the issue.
In the event of an accident involving your car, it is important that details are
reported to our local car rental partner within 24 hours. In the event of an accident
you must also complete an accident report form by the end of the rental period.
Local police should also be notified in the case of accidents and a signed police
report obtained. Full details of third parties should also be obtained. Our local
car rental partner must give authority to repair or replace a vehicle. Their name
and contact details are shown on your voucher and rental agreement. You should retain
copies of all rental documentation in the event an insurance company is involved.
Your insurance cover may be invalidated if this procedure is not followed correctly
and this may prejudice any claim for compensation. [back

Flight information
For airport pick-ups, it is essential that U.S. Rent A Car Ltd be given the correct
flight number and arrival time, before departure. This can be done either online
or by phone. If this is not available at the time of booking, please ensure that
you inform us of this at least 7 days prior to departure, either online or by phone.
No responsibility can be accepted or compensation allowed for a failed rental due
to the late provision of this information. [back

Out of hour’s charges
In most locations flights will be met and cars supplied outside of normal working
hours. However, there may be an additional charge for this service payable locally.
This will be quoted when your flight timings are given to us. In the event that
a flight is delayed, causing the car pick-up to fall outside normal working hours,
the additional charge will be made locally, where the out of hours service is available.

Payment for your rental
U.S. Rent A Car offers a Pre-Paid car rental service. It is not possible for you
to reserve a vehicle through U.S. Rent A Car and pay locally. The funds for your
rental will be pre-paid in advance. When you make a reservation on our website we
will 'Pre-Authorise' the amount using the payment method you supplied at the time
of reservation. 'Pre-Authorisation' means that at that point we have not fully collected
the funds from you. Your funds will only be collected once your vehicle and the
price has been confirmed by the supplier. If your request cannot be confirmed you
will not be charged and your 'Pre-Authorisation' cancelled. If your payment method
fails to authorise and you fail to contact us your reservation will be cancelled.
By giving us your payment details you give us your authorisations to collect payment
for your rental - please note that payment collection is done via a schedule and
may not appear as a debt on your account immediately. Please note:
In the event of payment error U.S. Rent A Car reserve the right to collect funds
from a 'Pre-Authorisation' within 12 months. If you have a query regarding your

Payment Methods
Payment for reservations can be made in the following ways, Visa, Visa Delta, MasterCard
or Switch. We also accept cheques. If paying by cheque there must be at least 21days
before the hire is due to start. Please make cheques payable to U.S. Rent A Car
Ltd and send them to Westmead House, Westmead, Farnborough, GU14 7LP. Please note
you’re booking reference number on the back of the cheque. On receipt of your
cheque a member of our reservations team will contact you to confirm its arrival.
Please note that if you cancel, amend or become eligibl for a refund or courtesy
payment from U.S. Rent A Car this payment will be sent to the payment method associated
with your booking. Please ensure that we have the correct details. [back to top of page]
Deposit information for pre-booking with usrentacar.co.uk
U.S. Rent A Car will accept a deposit on a credit card to secure a booking as long
as the departure date is 8 weeks or more away. Full payment will be taken 8 weeks
prior to your pick up. U.S. Rent A Car will endeavor to send a reminder email when
the balance is due, however it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure
U.S. Rent A Car has the correct card details before the 8 weeks. U.S. Rent A Car
will contact you to confirm the transaction has taken place. Only then will your
pre-paid rental voucher be forwarded to you. When you make a reservation via our
deposit scheme you give us the authority to collect the balance from the payment
method provided 8 weeks before your collection date. [back

Cancellation administration charge -

U.S Rent A Car Ltd will levy a charge for cancellation of any booking you are unable

Amendments to your booking are free of charge. Please note that you can only amend your booking up until 72 hours before your scheduled collection. Also be aware that in some instances it may not be possible to amend your reservation. Your amendment is confirmed once you receive an amended rental voucher from us.
Please note: If you have collected your vehicle you must speak to the local hire
company regarding any amendments/extensions or changes. Any changes made after the

Our Rates
U.S. Rent A Car LTD offers specially designed fully inclusive car rental rates based
on our unique pricing model. Our pricing strategy is based on/and incorporates
factors such as the $USD exchange rate. This means that our prices are subject to influence
without notice. We always aim to offer the best price/s possible. Once you
make a reservation you are guaranteed a rental at the price you have booked. We
guarantee that once a rental has been made your rate will never increase. However
if you make a reservation and subsequently our rates change and/or we offer
a new special offer/promotion in association with our suppliers, we are unable to
refund any difference in the price paid as the cost of your rental has already
been calculated in accordance with the influencing factors at the time
of your reservation.If you have already made a reservation and need to amend the
duration of your rental, vehicle type or any other option your new price will be
calculated at the latest available rates and not at the original rates reserved.
Please note: We are unable to switch your reservation from one supplier to another
without canceling and re booking. Should you wish to amend or cancel any reservation

Sat Nav Hire
U.S. Rent A Car hire's satellite navigation systems for rental in the USA and Canada*
Our Sat Nav systems are only currently available to UK residents. We will actually
send you a Sat Nav system before you depart the UK for you to take with you when
you travel. The systems are sent to you 48 hours before you travel to ensure you
receive the system 24 hours before the collection date of your vehicle. So if you
rental is collecting on the 24th of the month, U.S. Rent A Car will dispatch the
unit of the 22nd for arrival on the 23rd.
A security deposit is required. This deposit is taken on a Pre-Authorisation of
a credit / debit card. The security deposit will cover the replacement of the system,
you will be responsible for the safety of the Sat Nav while on hire. The security
deposit is between £250 & £350. Your security deposit will only
be refunded once the system is received back to us in full working order with all
components. PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure you have enough funds
on your chosen method of payment. If your security deposit fails to authorise and
you fail to provide updated details your rental will be cancelled at a charge of
100% of the hire cost. You will be responsible for loss or damage to the unit. All
prices include Sat Nav system, windscreen mount, in car charger, user guide and
postage each way using Royal Mail Special Delivery service. Please Note: The
units are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel your order in
the event of industrial strike action by Royal Mail or lack of availability due
to units returned damaged or units returned late. In the event that we have to cancel

Sat Nav Cancellation Charges: 72 hour cooling off period. Once
you make a reservation you have 72 hours to cancel free of charge. After 72 hours
there is a standard cancellation charge of £15.00. Your unit may only be cancelled
up to 24 hours before dispatch. Less than 24 hours will incur a cancellation charge
of 100%.

Complaints
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd aims to resolve complaints within 28 days of receipt, however
we will endeavor to resolve your issue as soon as possible. All complaints must
be made in writing and either posted to U.S. Rent A Car, Westmead House, Westmead,
Farnborough, Hants, GU14 7LP or emailed to customercare@usrentacar.co.uk.
In doing so a situation may arise where customers or travel agents receive
a refund, goodwill gesture and/or compensation payment of a duplicated nature, from
both U.S. Rent A Car Ltd and our local car rental partner. In such an event U.S.
Rent A Car Ltd reserves the right to recover such duplicated payments at any time
within two calendar years of such an event. Some complaints may take longer than
28 days owing to the nature of the issue and information provided. U.S. Rent A Car
Ltd can only consider complaints that reach them within 30 days of the final day
of rental to which the rental voucher refers. Actions against U.S. Rent A Car Ltd
are restricted to the laws that occur within the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom

Local rental issue's
If you encounter local problems collecting your vehicle you must contact U.S. Rent
A Car immediately. If you fail to collect your vehicle via the contract agreed with
U.S. Rent A Car, U.S. Rent A Car will not be held liable for any new contracts you
agree with a local supplier without our consent. Terms and conditions of a rental
agreed with U.S. Rent A car will not apply should you decide to use an alternative
local supplier without the prior consent or authorisation. Local contracts are made
at the renters own discretion and risk. U.S. Rent A Car will not be accountable
to honor the terms of a contract agreed outside of the original terms and conditions

Driving restrictions
Restrictions are applicable when crossing country and state borders. Please consult
our reservations department at the time of booking as to whether border crossing
is permitted and what, if any, charges apply. Please note that 15 seater minivans

SIXT RENT A CAR: Please note that vehicles rented with Sixt Rent
A Car can only be driven within the state of rental collection unless a One Way
Rental has been agreed in advance.
DOLLAR RENT A CAR: Local deposits - Renter will be subject to a credit worthiness
test and must provide a major credit card in their name with a minimum of $350.00
line of available credit.
Cross Border - In most cases, vehicles can be driven in any state in the continental
United States. Dollar Rent A Car vehicles are not permitted to be taken on ferries
or to island locations without prior authorization from Dollar Rent A Car. Travel
is also not permitted via rail. Travel to Mexico is permitted with prior authorization,
from certain locations - currently LAX, SAN, ELP, TUS, PHX , SFO (always check with
reservations). An additional insurance must be purchased locally - the cost of Mexican
insurance is 27.80 per day. Vehicles may be driven into Canada from the following
Tour Participating locations : JFK, EWR, LGA and Manhattan locations, ORD, MDW,
DTW, PHL, LAX, SFO & BOS. SEA limited to Southern British Columbia (including Whistler),
Vancouver metro area and Victoria BC only. PDX limited to Vancouver and Victoria,
BC only. Travel to Canada must be requested via reservations and when confirmed
noted on voucher / reservation.

acknowledges that in making a booking with U.S. Rent A Car Ltd he/she does so only
on the basis of the material contained in our brochure, voucher, on our website
or information provided on the phone by its employees.
The cost and conditions of all insurances and items are subject to change without
prior notice and subject to local tax. U.S. Rent A Car Ltd cannot be held responsible
for changes outside of its control.
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd acts as a car rental broker and agent for various
independent rental companies in the USA Bookings made through U.S. Rent A Car Ltd
are subject to these terms and conditions. Please note that the rental of the vehicle
will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you and for
this reason you will be required to sign a rental contract with the rental company,
which supplies the vehicle. You should satisfy yourself that you understand (and
agree) to its terms and conditions, as you will be subject to, and must comply with
these terms, and the local law.Once you sign the rental agreement with the local
car hire company your contract is with that local company. Any disputes arising
from this agreement must be pursued directly with the rental company.
U.S. Rent A Car works in conjunction with other car rental companies based in the
UK that act as sales agents for car rental companies that provided the bookable
services on our website. In the event of loss or financial failure of these associated
companies U.S. Rent A Car reserves the right to switch your rental to an alternative
supplier, amend your reservation to the nearest 'similar' sized available vehicle
or switch collection and drop off locations to the nearest possible available alternative
or cancel your reservation without prejudice should no alternatives be available.

Reservations made outside office working hours: When you make a
reservation with U.S. Rent A Car your 'request' is not confirmed until your reservation
has been confirmed by the appropriate supplier chosen. Should your reservation request
be made at a time when our office is closed your reservation may not be confirmed
in time. If your reservation request is not confirmed in time you will not be charged.
Please note: A reservation request is not a confirmed booking. Your booking is only
confirmed once your payment method has been processed and your rental voucher has
been issued.
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd cannot accept liability for any charges incurred on documentation
signed for and accepted locally.
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence
of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving or driving without due
care and attention. The customer will accept responsibility in respect of such claims.
This list is not exclusive.
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd cannot be held responsible for clients failure to collect any
prepaid reservation regardless of reason. This list is not exclusive.
Cars and all offers are subject to availability. All information in these terms

Consequential loss
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd are responsible for losses you suffer as a result of
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd breaking this agreement, if the losses are a foreseeable consequence
of U.S. Rent A Car Ltd breaking the agreement. Losses are foreseeable where both
you and U.S. Rent A Car Ltd could contemplate them at the time our agreement is
formed. U.S. Rent A Car Ltd is not responsible for indirect losses which happen
as a side effect of the main loss or damage and which are not foreseeable by you
and U.S. Rent A Car Ltd (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity). [back to top of page]
Force majeure
U.S. Rent A Car Ltd shall not be liable itself or vicariously through its
local car rental suppliers for either a failure to perform or delay in performing
any of its obligations under or pursuant to this booking, voucher, reservation,
rental or terms and conditions, if and in so far as performance is delayed, hindered
or prevented by force majeure, which expression shall mean any event beyond the
reasonable control of the party in question. In the event that the force majeure
persists for more than 14 consecutive days, U.S. Rent A Car Ltd may terminate and
withdraw this booking, reservation or rental by giving 14 days notice to the client’s

Contracts do not affect your statutory rights
General terms
U.S. Rent A Car will confirm your rental request as per the details that you enter
at the time of your online/phone reservation. An email confirmation will be sent
to you confirming these details. Please check them carefully. Please be aware that
these details (once confirmed by the supplier) form the basis of a contract between
yourself and U.S. Rent A Car to provide a vehicle for the details specified. In
the event that your plans change you may amend your rental (if avail;able) A new
contract will be formed according to the new rental details. You will then be subject
to the ‘Amendment fee’ outlined above as well as any additional costs incurred due
to your change of plans. Upon collection of your vehicle you will be asked to sign
a rental agreement, this agreement then forms your local contract with the supplier.
At this point your contract will become with the local supplier. If you wish to
make any changes to your rental after that point you will need to speak to the local
supplier directly.
